The COVID19 pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives in Mount Laurel. However, with the help of our first responders and front-line workers, Mount Laurel and its residents have proven up to the challenge.
Recently, the state-wide restrictions have begun to roll back. Restaurants are permitted to begin outdoor dining and retail businesses are slowly re-opening.
Mayor Irwin Edelson has accompanied Mount Laurel it's COVID19 journey, trying to be visible and responsive to residents throughout the shut-down. On June 27th, Mayor Edelson appeared at the Rancocas Woods Craft and Antique show. He was accompanied by fellow township resident Sandra Pratt.
Mayor Edelson met with Janeen Hovnanian, the Rancocas Woods Events Planner and Creative Director. About the visit Irwin said that "I'm happy to see that the Rancocas Woods businesses are able to start safely re-opening. These small businesses are an important part of our Mount Laurel Community." Mayor Edelson also visited and talked with other vendors, including Dick's Plants.
In accordance with CDC guidelines and state rules, attendees wore masks and practiced social distancing. The event was a success and a sign of better things to come.
